Why you should change your leadership model


During a recent trip to the U.S., I noticed something interesting: right now, many large companies are rethinking their leadership competency models.

I guess it makes perfect sense. As they are emerging from the recession, many of the multinationals are almost like new companies.  And of course, now is a good time to question whether the leadership capabilities that brought you to where you are, are the right ones going forward?

Specifically, I think a lot more focus will be put on collaboration, becoming one company, and on managing across cultures. And hopefully less focus on ludicrous bonus-hunting and sharp elbows.
